Children must be age of class choice by August 31, 2024 and must provide proof of immunization. We do NOT accept the NC immunization exemptions.



NRUM Preschool is not an allergy-free preschool. If your child has an allergy we will work with you to create an action plan to ensure the safety of your child while in our care. 



Daily schedules vary by classroom and are age appropriate. Children will have opportunities for free play, circle time, snack, quiet time and outdoor play. NRUM Preschool has a wonderful, large playground that is suited for all ages. We view outdoors as part of the learning environment. Each class enjoys outdoor play each day, weather permitting. During inclement weather, playtime is held in our large gym.



In addition to the classroom setting, all children attend Music and Movement classes and Chapel. Three-year-olds begin Spanish or American Sign Language class in January. Fours and Fives also attend Chapel, American Sign Language/Spanish and Discovery/Science, classes weekly.

Other special programs throughout the year include special Activity Days for all students such as Fall Fest, a visit by the fire truck, ambulance, dentist, Super Dad’s Day, Mother’s Day Tea, Christmas program, and Easter activities, including community service projects.
